By 2050, one in six people in the world will be over age 65, up from one in 11 in 2019.

Aging-in-place is an emerging concept for elderly care. Enabling aging populations to remain in a single place allows for longer memory maintenance, therefore preserving independence and mobility. The architecture proposed was based in a modular building system on which aid product packages can be added and removed on-demand based on individual need.
Located between sea and mountain, the property was sometimes steep. I wrote a grasshopper script to find out which parts were most flat and accommodating of the landscaping needs of aging populations.




A wooden truss composed of triangular and circular elements creates a structural matrix accommodating units of various types. It enables flexibility and interactions while fostering privacy.
